Aldo Celoria

Born in Mendrisio (CH) in 1969, Aldo Celoria graduated in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan in 1992. Between 1997 and 1998, he lived in Buenos Aires, where he collaborated with the studio of architect Clorindo Testa. In 2000, he worked with the Vacchini studio in Locarno. He earned his degree in Architecture from the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio in 2002, under Professor Kenneth Frampton. In 2006, he founded celoria architects in Balerna, Switzerland. He received the TECU Architecture Award for the use of copper in the Travella single-family house, the SIA Prize for the new Middle School in Balerna, the Best Architects 2026 award, and the Atlas of Sustainable Architecture award from the Order of Architects of Varese for the Raiffeisen Bank in Savosa. Aldo Celoria has held seminars at the University of Naples, the University of Florence, the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio, SUPSI in Canobbio, CalPoly (USA), and i2a in Vico Morcote. The studio has completed public projects for the municipalities of Stabio, Bellinzona, Torricella, Savosa, and Coldrerio following competition wins, and also develops private residential projects with a particular focus on architectural quality and sustainability.
