Sara Gelibter is an Italian architect with a cosmopolitan background: she studied in Italy, completed an Erasmus in Spain, and worked in Copenhagen before settling in Switzerland. Her work focuses on the sustainable transformation of existing buildings, combining historical awareness with contemporary clarity. Sara actively promotes circular building practices and advocates for environmental responsibility within Switzerland’s architecture community, contributing to public discussions on reuse and climate-positive design. In 2024, she was appointed to the SIA Competition Commission (SIA 142–143), where she helps shape frameworks and encourage sustainability in competitions. Through collaborative networks and activism, she merges technical precision with poetic transformation, making each renovation a dialogue between past and future. Her approach is both grounded and quietly radical.
