SHORT DESCRIPTION
The new community centre forms a welcoming ensemble with the existing historically significant buildings, the church and the vicarage. With its height and location, the new building gives precedence to the historic church. Skilful use of the topography has created new open spaces that can be used in a variety of ways. A barrier-free overall design concept has been developed that brings the individual areas of use – ‘church space’, ‘community life with children's and youth work’ and ‘administration’ – closer together. The choice of materials connects the church with the new green square, its garden walls and the new community centre to form a coherent whole.
